Propex Raising Prices 6%, Effective Feb. 1

Chattanooga, TN, Jan. 15, 2010--Propex Operating Company said it will raise prices 6% for all its primary and secondary products sold into the North American carpet industry, effective Feb. 1.

The company said the increase is driven by rising prices for key raw materials, notably polypropylene resin.

“As a company, we remain committed to maintaining reasonable margins that allow us to continue to invest in product technology, service and manufacturing resources to help meet customer needs,” said Dave Gartshore, national sales director of furnishings solutions.
