Proceeds From Sale of Bauwerk To Support Kährs

Zurich, Switzerland, Oct. 21, 2009--Nybron Flooring International said it will use the proceeds from the sale of its solid and engineered wood flooring producer Bauwerk to repay debt and support its Kährs business.

Bauwerk was sold to Zurmont Madison Private Equiy and EGS Beteiligungen.

NFI will also use the funds to improve marketing, sales and the supply chain to prepare the company for a rebound of demand and recovery of global markets.

The deal will bring Bauwerk, founded in 1944, back to its Swiss roots.

“We are very happy to have found a buyer who will continue to operate the Bauwerk production facilities both in St Margrethen and Salzburg,” said NFI CEO Per Skårner.
