Private Sector Employment Rises in October

Roseland, NJ, Nov. 3, 2010 -- Private-sector employment rose 43,000 in October, beating the experts' expectations of a 20,000 increase, according to the ADP employment report.

Employment in the service-producing sector rose 77,000, while the goods-producing sector fell 34,000.

September's reading was revised to a 2,000 decline, from the 39,000 decline previously estimated.
