Price of Oil Continues To Push Higher

New York, NY, April 8, 2011 -- Oil prices rose to near $112 a barrel Friday as fighting in Libya damaged oil fields.

By early afternoon in Europe, benchmark crude for May delivery was up $1.56 at $111.86 a barrel, the highest since September 2008.

In London, Brent crude for May delivery was up $2.05 to $124.72 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange.
