Preverco Adopts New Green Policy

Quebec, Canada, Nov. 13, 2008--Canadian hardwood flooring manufacturer Preverco said it has established a new green policy.

Additionally, Preverco is currently under audit to become an FSC certified manufacturer by the end of the year.

Last year, the company invested $10 million in a new, greener manufacturing facility to improve production efficiency.

Preverco said it will purchase environmentally-preferred products, as well as goods and services that promote environmental sustainability and have reduced effects on the environment, compared with competing products.

Preverco also said it will monitor the quantity of raw materials, the type of materials and ease of recycling of the materials, as well as the energy consumption required for manufacturing and use.

Additionally, Preverco said it will promote green packaging, as well as energy reduction and greenhouse emission reduction. It noted that 99.9% of the wood it purchases is used in one way or another.
