Prestige Mills Named Exclusive U.S. Distributor fo

Long Island City, NY, November 3, 2005—Prestige Mills, Inc. has been appointed as exclusive North American distributor for all floorcoverings produced by Belgium manufacturer, Louis de Poortere (LDP). LDP distributed its products direct for years and is well known for its line, which includes one of the largest selections of wool face-to-face Wilton runners in the industry, along with a wide range of wool Wilton broadloom styles. In a concentrated effort to enhance its offering, Louis de Poortere will focus on improving its weaving facility in Belgium while turning over its marketing and sales distribution to Prestige Mills. Prestige Mills is a manufacturer and importer of carpets and rugs and has warehouse facilities in Calhoun, Georgia. The company operates three divisions—Concepts International, Prestige Mills, and Weave-Tuft Carpets—and will add LDP as a new division. “We are very excited about this venture”, says Peter Feldman, president of Prestige Mills. “The LDP line complements our existing divisions and furthers our ability to meet the diverse needs of retailers throughout North America. It also gives us the opportunity to employ flooring veterans, Eddie Hollier (National Sales Manager for LDP), and Sara Grunewald (office manager for LDP), who now hold similar positions at Prestige Mills.” Both Prestige Mills and Louis de Poortere are long-standing Wools of New Zealand Brand partners and will continue to promote the Brand on all qualified products. Prestige Mills will showcase LDP’s carpets and rugs at Surfaces 2006, in the Wools of New Zealand Brand area (booth #6407-6308).
