Polish Wood Flooring Firm Doubling Production

Barlinek, Poland, Dec. 23, 2010 -- Barlinek S.A has decided to increase wood flooring production to 500,000 square meters.

"When we started production last year," says Marek Janke, a member of Barlinek S.A.'s Management Board, "we knew that consumer interest in solid wood floors was increasing."

This year Barlinek S.A. will sell nearly 250,000 square meters of solid wood floors manufactured by Barlinek Romania S.A. According to Janke, the demand for solid wood floors has increased significantly in recent months.

Access to certified raw materials in Poland and Ukraine, as well as lower manufacturing costs in the case of the latter, were decisive in the location of two factories in Barlinek and Vinnitsa.

"We are planning on commencing the investment at the start of 2011," Janke said.
