Polish Firm Develops Wood Flooring Click System
Barlinek, Poland, Feb. 8, 2010--Wood flooring manufacturer Barlinek said it has developed a joint system for floorboards called the Fast Click System.
Work on the design of the joint and preparation for its implementation took nearly two years.
The invention was developed by Barlinek's research and implementation department in collaboration with another company.
Technology using synthetic polymers was used in the joint, as elements bonding the floorboards on their short sides.
The company said the new joint system significantly simplifies and quickens floor assembly.
The company said that all it takes is to insert the floorboard in the lock on the lateral joint, slide the short edge into the neighbouring floorboard in the strip of floor being assembled, and push the floorboard into the base of the floor.
The Fast Click System was registered in the European Patent Office in June 2009. Barlinek presented the system in January this year at Domotex.
