Pleiderer Announces Restructuring Plan

Neumarkt/Cologne, Germany, May 26, 2011--The Pfleiderer AG Business Center Western Europe (BC West) announced that it is implementing its restructuring plan and has already put significant elements of the plan into practice.

Michael Wolff, CEO for BC Western Europe said, "All our business units and brands are above plan with regard to turnover and performance and are significantly ahead of last year. The BC Western Europe is back in the black for the first quarter which confirms that the restructuring programme and the new orientation is taking hold."

With the Business Center concentrating its marketing for western Europe primarily on these areas, he adds that 2011 is developing into an overall positive year for them as manufacturers of engineered wood products.

Pfleiderer is also having initial success with its BalanceBoard material. The product, made from annual plants, was introduced to the the market at the beginning of the year, and the company has already rolled out a broadened range.
