Plastex Matting Acquires Entryway Distributor

Fort Payne, AL, Nov. 16, 2009--Plastex Matting Inc. has purchased the operating business and assets of Ovalstrapping Inc.'s GO Resilient U.S. business.
 
The sale expands the scope of PMI service to matting distributors and the OEM market.

Go Resilient provides various safe flooring solutions for building entries in the government and the marine industry. The companies are located in the same facility in Fort Payne, Ala. and formally held by common ownership, the the acquisition will provide customers with a seamless transition and improvements in lead times and level of service, according to a press release.

The sale has no effect on the independent operations of the GO Resilient Canada division of EII Ltd. which will continue to be PMI's exclusive distributor of Plastex Matting in Canada.  PMI is not acquiring the GO Resilient U.S. brand name.

PMI, the makers of Heronrib and Vynagrip open-grid matting make a wide range of products designed to solve specific underfoot hazards for both indoor and outdoor applications.
