Pfleiderer's BalanceBoard Wins Design Award

Neumarkt, Germany, June 6, 2011 -- Pfleiderer in Frankfurt has received the 2011 Design Plus Award from Material Vision, awarded by the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre and the Design Council, for its product innovation of BalanceBoard.

The jury said BalanceBoard was one of the most important achievements in material research for sustainable furniture production and interior design.

With this award from Material Vision, BalanceBoard is automatically nominated for the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany.

BalanceBoard consists of approximately 35% of material from plants that grow within one summer, close to the point of production.
