Pfleiderer Seeking Government Loan Guarantees

Neumarkt, Germany, June 19, 2009--Pfleiderer AG is seeking government loan guarantees, CEO Hans Overdiek told Handelsblatt in an interview.

Pfleiderer needs the guarantees as it may breach its loan covenants, the newspaper said. The company doesn’t need additional capital, Handelsblatt reported.

Pfleiderer said that sales volumes and price levels were both lower than in the same period of the prior year.
