Pfleiderer Makes Temporary Executive Shifts

Nuemarkt, Germany, March 15, 2007--Pfleiderer AG said that following the illness of the spokesman of its executive board, Hans H. Overdiek, and his prolonged absence, the supervisory board of Pfleiderer AG has appointed Michael Ernst temporarily to coordinate the work of the executive board during this period to ensure its continuity.

Accordingly, and with immediate effect, the individual duties of the members of the executive board have been reallocated as follows:

Michael Ernst: Group Personnel, Group Legal and Insurance, Group Organization and IT Architecture, Risk Management temporarily: Coordination of the Executive Board, BC North America: BU Panels, Internal Auditing, General Public Relations Robert Hopperdietzel: BC Eastern Europe, Group Technology, Best Practice, Investment Management temporarily: Public Relations relating to Technology, Operations / Plants, Technology investments

Derrick G. Noe: BC Western Europe, Group Finances, Group Cost Control, Group Accounting (incl. Financial Statements, Taxation) temporarily: BC North America: BU Flooring (incl. Pergo), Investor Relations, Communication with Capital Markets Responsibility for the group's strategy and development will be shared jointly by the three members of the executive board, Michael Ernst, Derrick G. Noe and Dr. Robert Hopperdietzel.

The company said it was pleased to report that Overdiek is no longer in critical condition following his serious accident, and is now well on the way to recovery.
