Personal Income & Spending Rose in May

Washington, DC, June 29, 2018-Personal income increased $60.0 billion (0.4%) in May, according to estimates released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Disposable personal income (DPI) increased $63.2 billion (0.4%) and personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $27.8 billion (0.2%).

Real DPI increased 0.2% in May and Real PCE decreased less than 0.1%.

The PCE price index increased 0.2%. Excluding food and energy, the PCE price index increased 0.2%.
