Personal Income & Spending Rose in December

Washington, DC, January 29, 2018-Personal income increased $58.7 billion (0.4%) in December, according to estimates released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Disposable personal income (DPI) increased $48.0 billion (0.3%) and personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $54.2 billion (0.4%).

Real DPI increased 0.2% in December and Real PCE increased 0.3%. The PCE price index increased 0.1%. Excluding food and energy, the PCE price index increased 0.2%.
