Personal Income & Spending Rose 0.4% in April

Washington, DC, May 30, 2017-Personal income increased 0.4% to $58.4 billion in April, according to estimates released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Disposable personal income (DPI) increased $56.5 billion (0.4%) and personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $53.2 billion (0.4%).

Real DPI increased 0.2% in April and Real PCE increased 0.2%. The PCE price index increased 0.2%.

Excluding food and energy, the PCE price index increased 0.2%.
