Personal Income & Spending Increased in January

Washington, DC, February 28, 2020-Personal income increased $116.5 billion (0.6%) in January, according to estimates released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. 

Disposable personal income (DPI) increased $101.4 billion (0.6%), and personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $29.6 billion (0.2%).

Real DPI increased 0.5% in January, and real PCE increased 0.1%. The PCE price index increased 0.1%. Excluding food and energy, the PCE price index increased 0.1%.
