Personal Income Rose 0.7% in October, Spending Up 0.8%

Washington, DC, December 1, 2022-Personal income increased $155.3 billion (0.7%) in October, according to estimates released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Disposable personal income (DPI) increased $132.9 billion (0.7%), and personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $147.9 billion (0.8%).

The PCE price index increased 0.3%. Excluding food and energy, the PCE price index increased 0.2%. Real DPI increased 0.4% in October, and Real PCE increased 0.5%; goods increased 1.1% and services increased 0.2%.
