Personal Income Rose 0.4% in January

Washington, DC, March 1, 2018-Personal income increased $64.7 billion (0.4%) in January, according to estimates released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Disposable personal income (DPI) increased $134.8 billion (0.9%) and personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $31.2 billion (0.2%).

Real DPI increased 0.6% in January and Real PCE decreased 0.1%. The PCE price index

increased 0.4%. Excluding food and energy, the PCE price index increased 0.3%.
