Pergo/Witex Merger Gets Antitrust Approval
Trelleborg, Sweden, Feb. 20— The merger between Pergo and Witex is conditional upon approval from antitrust authorities in Germany and Sweden. The German antitrust authority has approved the merger. A decision from the Swedish antitrust authority is expected in mid March. As announced previously, Pergo AB and the main shareholder of Witex AG—HW Industries GmbH—have signed a binding agreement concerning a merger between Pergo and Witex. The agreement is that Pergo will acquire all shares in Witex owned by HW Industries. Currently Pergo owns 25.1% of Witex AG, while HW Industries owns the remaining shares.
