Pergo Wins European Patent for Flooring Panels

Neumarkt, Germany, Jan. 23, 2009--This month the European Patent Office awarded Pergo a European patent that extends the company's comprehensive patent portfolio in flooring panels, Pergo said.

This is one patent in a family of patents that applies to the so-called fold-down technology and is based on an initial patent application in 2000.

A patent from the same family of patents was granted in the U.S. in October 2008.

"With the European patent that has now been granted, Pergo has a very strong position in the field of fold-down technology," said Ralf Eisermann, CEO of the Flooring division of Pfleiderer AG.
