Pergo, Uniboard Prices Moving Higher

Raleigh, N.C., April 1, 2008 –Pfleiderer’s North America Flooring Division said that effective May 15 it will raise prices an average of 5 percent on all direct laminate and high-pressure laminate flooring products produced and marketed by Pergo LLC of Raleigh and Uniboard Surfaces in of Quebec, Canada.

CEO George Kelley said that production and distribution costs have forced the price increase. He also cited the recent jump in the cost of woodchips and methanol/resin, which has boosted the cost of MDF/HDF.
