Pergo Submits Product to Standards Testing

Raleigh, NC, Mar. 10--Pergo recently submitted its products for industry standards testing. Every product tested passed and, in December, the company was granted official standards certification by the North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA). ³We are very proud of this accomplishment because it confirms that we¹re doing things right and we¹re doing them well,² said Sandra Reilly, senior vice president and general manager for home center and specialty business at Pergo, Inc. ³We recognize the importance of industry standards and are pleased to be able to offer added product confidence to our consumers and retailers who have come to associate the NALFA seal with product quality.² NALFA¹s standards were developed and certified through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and first published in 2001. Products are submitted for testing and certification on a voluntary basis and put through a series of standardized tests at an independent laboratory by inspectors rating resistance to such factors as impact, light, stains, radiant heat, static loads and general wear.
