Pergo Reorganizes Around Swiss Holding Company

Raleigh, NC, Sept. 29, 2009--Swedish flooring manufacturer Pergo said it is opening a new chapter in its corporate history by founding a new holding company called Pergo AG headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, consolidating operations of its North American and European business units.

The aim is to streamline processes, generate synergies and enhance the Pergo brand image worldwide, the company said.

CEO Ralf Eisermann and all the key positions of Pergo AB Europe and Pergo LLC, operating in the North American market, have been concentrated in Baar.

In addition to the reseach and development department, marketing and sales are controlled centrally from Baar as well. Pergo said that processes will be optimized, voting simplified, and decision-making accelerated.

Pergo AG believes the new structure will provide a more consistent global brand image.

“After a year spent in preparation, we have given ourselves a clear organization here and will now carry on with the task of driving the business forward towards our goal," Eisermann says.

Pergo AG, founded on July 1, 2009, assumes the Business Center Flooring role as part of Pfleiderer AG, which has owned the floor manufacturer since 2007.
