Pergo Names Design Award Winner

Berlin, Germany, Dec. 17, 2010 -- Laminate flooring maker Pergo named the winner of its second annual Pergo Design Award: “Illustrate Creative City."

Hannah Parr of Great Britain was honored for her wooden floorboard paintings that feature striking combinations of color and movement.

This year’s Pergo Design Award gave four young international artists a professional platform to showcase their artwork and creativity.

Working in different mediums, each artist created four pieces influenced by his or her personal impressions of and experiences with urban life. Pergo leveraged this artwork both to stimulate discussion of design and its many inspirations and to showcase the research and implementation process for new products.
