Pergo Eliminates 14 Sales Positions

Raleigh, NC, Nov. 10, 2008--Pergo North America said it has eliminated 14 specialty sales positions.

The reduction marks the final phase of the consolidation between Pergo and Uniboard Inc., resulting from the company’s 2007 acquisition by Pfleiderer, AG.

“Redundancies are an unfortunate but inevitable outcome whenever two like companies merge,” explained George Kelley, president and CEO of Pergo North America.

“Compounded by increasingly challenging economic conditions, this situation has required us to make some tough decisions in order to remain lean and competitive.”
