Parker Named Senior VP of Fashion Brands For Mohaw

Kennesaw, GA, November 28, 2006--The Mohawk Group has promoted Allen Parker to senior vice president of fashion brands. In his new role, Parker is responsible for sales, marketing, design, support and product direction for Karastan Contract and Durkan Commercial. Prior to this position, Parker led custom development and design initiatives first for Lees Carpets and more recently for The Mohawk Group. He joined Lees in 1991 as a sales and design representative, and was responsible for the specification of design-driven and custom products for the Southern California market. Prior to that Parker worked in Chicago and Jacksonville in various roles within the commercial carpet industry. A native of Chatworth, Ga., Parker is an active member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
