Parador Achieves Carbon-Neutral Production
Coesfeld, Germany, February 11, 2026-Since the end of 2025, Parador has been producing at its sites in a CO₂-“neutral” manner and has aligned its manufacturing processes clearly toward an approach compatible with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.
The reduction in CO₂ emissions is the result of a long-term, structured approach based on avoidance, reduction and responsible climate contribution. Over recent years, Parador has continuously optimized its production processes, reduced energy consumption, and lowered emissions wherever technically and organizationally feasible. Remaining emissions are today deliberately and transparently embedded within a broader climate context.
One building block of this approach is the new partnership with EcoTree, a European provider of high-quality nature-based climate projects. As part of this collaboration, Parador is participating in a certified reforestation project in France implemented under the state-recognized Bas Carbone label. The project aims to bind CO₂ over the long term while simultaneously strengthening biodiversity, soil quality, and forest resilience in the face of climate change.
