Lahore, Pakistan, March 22, 2006--Carpet exporters here are facing hardships in executing orders of foreign buyers due to mishandling of cargo services by PIA, according to the Business Recorder.
The shipments of carpet exporters have been held up for the last two months, resulting in cancelled orders and consequent loss of precious foreign exchange for the country, said Naeem Tahir Sheikh in a press release issued here on Tuesday.
He said that Pakistani exporters want to send their carpets for High Point Show, a major interior decor exhibition to be held in the first week of April in the US, but PIA cargo officials are not cooperating.
