Owner of Välinge Acquires Croatian Company Tehnodrvo

Viken, SW, August 25, 2016—Pervanovo Invest AB, the majority owner of Välinge, has acquired all shares of the Croatian wood processing company Tehnodrvo d.o.o.

The cooperation will enable Välinge to secure supply of high-quality veneer for its Woodura technology and Tehnodrvo to implement 5G fold down in its parquet flooring products.

Tehnodrvo today has two production sites in Croatia—one in Ogulin and one in Bjelova—which both have long-term wood concessions comprising large volumes of high-quality oak.

Pervanovo’s intentions with the acquisition are to increase the production of oak lamellas for high-quality one-strip parquet floorings and to invest in a new veneer factory to secure sufficient quantities of high-quality oak veneer.

The oak veneer will be used for the Välinge powder-based Woodura flooring products that are anticipated to show a very high growth rate during the forthcoming years.
