OW Hospitality Launches Major Expansion

London, England, Jan. 24, 2012 -- OW Hospitality said it has plans for a global expansion.

The company said it is investing an estimated $30 million in expansion plans with the addition of three new high speed Axminster looms in it’s Cairo, Egypt manufacturing facility, three additional Axminster looms to it’s Tianjin, China facility and two looms more Axminster looms to another unnamed location.

CEO Michael Riley said the chairman of the Oriental Weavers Group has agreed to double production capabilities within three years and expects to be manufacturing Axminster carpets on three continents by 2015.

OW said it will soon be adding printed carpet to its offering.

“Owning the largest Chromojet printing facility in the world (Mac Carpets) gives us a great competitive edge when we add a full line of printed carpets to our global hospitality product offering,” Riley said.

In order to utilize global assets and take advantage of the organization’s worldwide corporate structure and management team, chairman Mohamed Farid Khamis said the company has decided to fully integrate the hospitality operation under the key management structure currently in place for all other flooring related businesses.

“The assets and synergies of our many other floor covering operations will be fully utilized to provide the best possible offerings and service to the worldwide hospitality market,” Khamis said.
