Ottawa Firm Begins Carpet and Pad Recycling

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Sept. 22, 2010--Westboro Flooring & Decor said it became in July the first floor covering company in Ottawa to recycle all carpet and underpad waste.

The firm is diverting all carpet and underpad removed from existing properties to a recycling center, where it goes through a sorting process. Underpad is used to make new underpad and carpet is recycled to make car parts, plastic goods and new carpet.
