Cincinnati, OH, July 27--Federated Department Stores has named Michael J. Osborn president and chief operating officer of its Macy's Home Store division, effective Aug. 8.
Osborn, currently president and chief operating officer of the San Francisco-based Macy's West division, will join Timothy M. Adams, who recently was named chairman and chief executive officer of Macy's Home Store, as the division's principal team.
Macy's Home Store, established in 2004, is responsible for the centralized buying, merchandising and marketing of home furnishings for the company's 423 Macy's stores nationwide.
"Mike Osborn is one of Federated's most experienced and talented operations executives," said Federated Vice Chair Janet Grove, to whom Macy's Home Store reports. "He has demonstrated particular success in managing big-ticket businesses such as furniture, and in improving the in-store shopping experience. Mike and Tim Adams represent a dynamic team to drive improvement in the division and build Macy's into a powerful destination for distinctive, lifestyle-based home fashions."
