Oriental Weavers Names Sorrow VP Product Developme

Dalton, GA, August 9--Steven S. Sorrow has joined Oriental Weavers as vice president of product development for U.S. operations. Sorrow will be responsible for development and sourcing of new product lines in rug and home categories for Sphinx and Oriental Weavers of America, as well as managing the design and product development team in the U.S. In addition, Sorrow will provide color and product direction to the company’s design team in Cairo. Steve was formerly vice president design & product development for Springs Industries / Beaulieu Home Fashions where he served in several capacities since 1997. His broad development experience in woven, handcrafted, printed, tufted and bath rugs will prove valuable as the company expands its offerings in the domestics and home categories. He also provides a unique knowledge and experience in development of specialized and custom products for all the major retailers. Sorrow will be based in the company’s Dalton, Georgia offices and report to Steve Stultz and Mike Riley.
