Oriental Weavers Names Five to New Posts

Dalton, GA, September 1, 2006--Oriental Weavers North America promoted Jonathan Witt to executive vice president of marketing, Kim Reynolds to vice president of marketing, and Brad Baird to the newly created role of executive director of operational planning for the recently joined divisions of Oriental Weavers’ North American operations. In related news, Aaron Gray was named as the Sphinx national accounts administrator and Tatum Joyce as the Oriental Weavers of America national accounts administrator. Witt, who joined the company in 1997 and most recently served as vice president of marketing for Oriental Weavers North America, is being promoted to executive vice president of marketing for the company. He will report to Mike Riley, president of Oriental Weavers North America. Reynolds, who succeeds Witt as vice president of marketing, joined the company in 2002 as sales support coordinator and most recently served as public relations manager. In her new role, she will oversee the company’s day-to-day marketing functions, as well as implement the company’s goals and objectives for increasing brand awareness in the marketplace. She will report to Witt. Baird, previously Sphinx’s national accounts administrator, is being promoted to the position of executive director of operational planning. Before joining the Sphinx team in 2002, he was the residential marketing coordinator for Brinton’s U.S. Axminster in Greenville, MS. In his new post, Baird will manage and develop strategies for increased efficiency in areas such as production, inventory control, and costing. He will report directly to Mike Riley. Gray, who succeeds Baird as Sphinx national accounts administrator, comes to Sphinx from Mohawk Industries where he was a national area rug accounts manager for Karastan and Mohawk Select. He has also served as the assistant special products manager for Mohawk Home. As national accounts administrator for Sphinx, Gray will serve as the corporate liaison and coordinate Sphinx sales and marketing efforts with flooring retail chains, department stores, and other national accounts. Joyce comes to Oriental Weavers from Accretive Commerce, a third party fulfillment company based out of Chattanooga, TN, where as an account executive she managed client services relating to contract compliance and overall customer satisfaction. As national accounts administrator for Oriental Weavers of America, Joyce will serve as the corporate liaison and coordinate OWA sales and marketing efforts with mass merchants and home centers.
