Oriental Weavers Names Baker Western Sales Region

Dalton, GA, July 27--Sphinx by Oriental Weavers recently promoted William (Bill) Baker to the position of western sales region manager. Baker will be based in southern California with responsibility for six states including California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Montana, and Idaho. Baker has been with Sphinx for over five years handling accounts in the metropolitan Chicago area. Prior to Sphinx, he was with Masland Carpet and Rugs in sales and his experience totals over 20 years in the area rug industry. "Bill has an extensive background in area rugs and proven success in territory development," said Mike Riley, Sphinx executive vice president. "His leadership and commitment to Sphinx’s ongoing success make him an asset to our organization and the continued growth of the western sales region." Founded in 1991, Dalton-based Sphinx is a division of Oriental Weavers Group, a multi-national collection of companies formed in the 1970s that is headquartered in Cairo, Egypt.
