Omnova Solutions Raises Prices Effective Today

Dalton, GA, Sept. 1, 2009--Omnova Solutions’ specialty chemicals business said it is increasing prices up to $0.06 per dry pound for all GenFlo, GenCeal, Omnabond, GenCryl and GenCal styrene butadiene based emulsion polymers.
 
The increase is effective Sept. 1 for all specialty markets, including coatings, tape and adhesives, nonwovens and construction, and is in addition to previously announced increases.

The increase is due to rising costs of butadiene and styrene petrochemical feedstocks.
