Oil Prices Down 10% on News of Strait of Hormuz Opening
Washington, DC, April 17, 2026-Oil prices sank 10% today, following news that the Strait of Hormuz is open for commercial vehicles.
“U.S. crude oil plunged 10% to nearly $85 per barrel, while international Brent crude also slid more than 8% to around $90 per barrel,” reports NBC News.
