Ohio Retailer Expanding

Lawrenceburg, OH, October 15, 2007--Furniture Co., which sells everything from bedroom sets to flooring to window treatments, is expanding its showroom by 10,000 square feet.

The retailer is spending more than $1 million to boost the size of its showroom to 26,000 square feet and enhance the building's look where the showroom is housed.

The investment will allow Home Furniture to display more styles, brands and price points to reach a larger variety of customers, said Chuck Brandel Jr., vice president of furniture division.

"We hope the added showroom space appeals to a larger geographical area, particularly more customers from the west side of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky," Brandel says.

He said the expansion will be the store's first since 1970.

The business was started in 1945 by Brandel's grandfather, Elmer Schneider. It's now owned by Brandel, his brother, Joe Brandel, and their father, Charles Brandel Sr.
