Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 28--OFIS has launched exclusive wooden flooring from Parador, German specialists in laminated, pre-finished timber and timber floorings, according to AME Info.com.
The first Parador outlet in the Middle East was unveiled inside the OFIS showroom in Dubai at a special trade event for architects, interior designers and the press. Parador’s Volkmar Halbe, Managing Director, and Ernö L. Németh, International Sales Manager, flew in from Germany to attend the launch.
"Parador has witnessed global growth of 100 per cent in sales over the last five years, and we aim to maintain this success record in the Middle East. We have the highest market share in Australia, where we rank number one, and in Europe our market share and brand share is 15 per cent and 25 per cent respectively. We also have an extremely strong presence in Canada and China in the premium products segment," said Halbe.
He added: "Around 80 per cent of our total sales come from laminate floorings, but global trends forecast an increase in demand for pre-finished timber products."
The introduction of Parador wooden flooring will take full advantage of the real estate boom in Dubai. Consumer and trade customers can choose from four types of wood finish – laminated, pre-finished timber, solid timber, or cork.

In addition to laminated and pre-finished floorings, the new Trendtime collection was also unveiled. Trendtime offers a new dimension in flooring for designers and builders. Trendtime provides unique finishes not seen with laminated and pre-finished floorings before, like stone and sand tile with country and ethnic designs.
Parador’s Ernö L. Németh said: "We have been working to develop a product which is special, and in January we invited 2,500 architects, designers and customers from 33 countries to our marketing office in Germany for the launch of the new Trendtime collection. We expect this product to be very popular with the trade in the Middle East."
There are three different styles of solid timber flooring to choose from at Parador - Select, Natur and Living, available in a variety of wood types, from beech to European oak. Parador solid timber flooring comes with pre-finished, oil-impregnated and lacquer-finished surfaces, and is moisture controlling, smooth, dirt-resistant and stain-resistant, durable and easy to repair.
Available in different colours, Parador cork floors are ideal for fitness rooms and offices. Cork is light, sound absorbing, heat-insulating, water-resistant and long lasting.
