Oates Resigns as V.P. of Marketing at Armstrong Fl

Lancaster, PA, May 24--Laurie Israel-Cubell, a six-year Armstrong veteran, has been promoted to Vice President, Marketing and New Product Development, AFP, effective immediately. In this role, Laurie will be responsible for managing, leading and directing the marketing and new product development organization for Armstrong Flooring Products. This includes guiding and directing channel management, marketing research, business analysts, marketing communications and new product development. She will report directly to Frank Ready, Senior Vice President, North America Sales and Marketing. Laurie replaces Roger Oates who has resigned as Vice President, Marketing, Armstrong Floor Products, to pursue other interests. “I would like to thank Roger for his contributions to Armstrong Flooring and wish him success in his future career,” said Ready. “Laurie is a tremendous asset to this company and her expertise in marketing enables us to continue to serve our customers strategically,” said Ready. “I am confident that she will provide the guidance needed to flawlessly execute channel and end-consumer targeted marketing and new product development initiatives.” Laurie joined Armstrong in 1998 as Manager, Marketing Services, and a year later was promoted to General Manager, Marketing Services. Early last year, Laurie was instrumental in integrating wood products into the flooring business. She has been actively involved in the company's process improvement efforts with a focus on the development and implementation of a new product development process. Prior to Armstrong, Laurie Israel-Cubell served in brand and area marketing management at Kraft Foods. She completed her undergraduate studies at Brown University and earned her MBA from Harvard Business School in 1992.
