Jackson, MS, April 9, 2007--The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), together with Clear Seas Research, a division of BNP Media, are partnering on an in-depth quantitative survey to evaluate a range of parameters that are important to tile and stone contractors and the tile and the installation segment of the tile and stone industry.
The four-page questionnaire is currently being circulated to U.S. tile and stone contractors, with the goal of obtaining 1,000 responses.
Survey content will examine five different areas: general business activity and growth; product-specific installation activity; brand usage and preferences of setting materials and tools; emerging industry trends, such as the emergence of green/environmentally friendly products and materials; and general respondent information such as location, employees, etc.
“We are proud and excited to support this survey to benchmark preferences and activity for contractors in our industry, “said Bart Bettiga, NTCA executive director. “Though there have been many studies of sales and tile products used in our industry, never before has there been a study on this scale of contractor installation activity, brand preferences and trends. We expect this to be an invaluable tool for the entire industry and an essential tool for the tile contractor.”
Kelley Trost, executive director, Architecture and Construction Division of Clear Seas Research added, “Our goal is to fill an information gap in this segment of the flooring industry by providing reliable and up-to-date industry data and stats to benefit manufacturers, suppliers and others allied to the marketplace.”
The survey is being sponsored by tile and stone industry manufacturers and vendors. Results are expected by the end of April. Deadline for the survey is April 20, 2007.
