NPM Capital’s Desseaux Acquisition Cleared by EU

Brussels, Belgium, March 29, 2007--The European Commission said it has cleared NPM Capital NV's proposed acquisition of carpet manufacturer Tapijtfabriek H Desseaux NV.

The deal was examined under the EU's simplified merger review procedure for cases that the commission believes do not pose competition concerns.

NPM Capital is a division of holding company SHV Holdings.

Desseaux, which has plants in Belgium and the Netherlands, is part of US firm Armstrong World Industries Inc's textile and sports flooring business segment.
