Nourison to Open Showroom at Las Vegas Market Cent

Saddle Brook, NJ, April 20--Nourison will open a permanent showroom at the Las Vegas World Market Center in 2007. "With the growth we are projecting in our merchandise assortment and national distribution, this will be a timely enhancement of Nourison’s broader market presence," said Alex Peykar, a company principal. "Historically, both retailers and manufacturers have focused their attention primarily on merchandising centers in the eastern United States. Building upon our success in these sectors, we feel that Las Vegas will give us an additional platform for outreach to an expanding realm of opportunity in the western part of the nation." Peykar stressed that AmericasMart Atlanta will remain the company's most important market. "We certainly expect Atlanta to remain the single most significant venue for the industry as a whole," Peykar said. "There is no mart organization that is so devoted to the rug business as AmericasMart," he said. "The International Area Rug Market in Atlanta is the only market devoted entirely to the rug industry. In all other markets, rugs are only one part of a much larger business." Peykar said he sees the Las Vegas World Market Center as an important force in the growing diversity of the American market. "Clearly, our presence at Surfaces has and will continue to provide key exposure for our broadloom products. Beyond that, we feel that our World Market Center location will give us a more extensive and viable opportunity for the presentation of our many and varied area rug collections. We look forward to addressing the needs of a vigorously developing market," Peykar said. The Las Vegas World Market Center will have its first International Home Furnishings Market July 25 to 29, 2005.
