Nourison Carpets Get Green Label Certification

Saddlebrook, NJ, February 21, 2008--Twenty carpet collections from Nourison have received Green Label certification from the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), a nonprofit trade association whose voluntary, in-depth testing program certifies rugs as some of the “healthiest” on the market.

The Green Label program measures the amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are emitted from carpeting and can contribute to poor indoor air quality.

CRI tests for emission levels of VOCs and dozens of chemicals and adhesives in broadloom.

In order to earn and maintain the certification, carpeting and adhesives undergo a three-tier testing process (initial, quarterly and annually) to monitor continued compliance with the program’s requirements.
