Non-Manufacturing Sector Shows Growth Again

Tempe, AZ, May 5, 2010--Economic activity in the non-manufacturing sector grew in April for the fourth consecutive month, according to the latest Non-Manufacturing ISM Report On Business.

The index registered 55.4 percent in April, the same percentage as registered in March, and indicating growth in the non-manufacturing sector.

The Business Activity Index increased to 60.3 percent, reflecting growth for the fifth consecutive month. The New Orders Index decreased to 58.2 percent, and the Employment Index decreased to 49.5 percent.
