No Change of Control Ahead for Milliken & Co.

Greenville, SC, Jan. 3, 2011 -- Control of Spartanburg-based Milliken & Co. will stay in the hands of Roger Milliken’s family after the textile magnate’s death last week, a company spokesman told The Greenville News.

Spokesman Richard Dillard said that Milliken was well prepared and had a plan in place for almost any circumstance.

Milliken was chairman of his family’s company when he died Thursday at age 95.

Joe Salley will remain chief executive officer and president of Milliken & Co., and the company will remain privately held with a board that answers to a group of family shareholders.
