New Resources Added to J+J's “Impact of Aging” Toolbox

Dalton, GA, February 21, 2017—In partnership with The Center for Health Design, J+J Flooring Group has announced that a second set of resources in The Center’s “Impact of Aging” Toolbox are now available and free for public use at the organization’s website: www.healthdesign.org.

Introduced in January and available to the public through December 31, the toolbox is The Center’s first to focus on the critically important and rapidly growing area of senior living facility design. It provides designers, architects, facility managers and medical professionals with a library of resources to help them better understand and implement the best possible solutions to support the challenges and complex needs of the growing aging population.

The newly released Phase 2 resources include a series of in-depth interviews with industry experts, including an interview with Maggie Calkins, Ph.D., titled, “How Strategic Design Choices Can Address the Impact of Aging While Meeting the Needs of All Generations.”

Real-world case studies focusing on specific design-build challenges and solutions are also available. Several blog articles, written by The Center’s staff and other experts, are now posted. A selection of valuable “Insights and Solutions” is available to assist designers in creating a new delivery model in senior care.  Topic selections include, “Designing for Social Health and Aging,” and “Design for Aging: Psychological Health Among Older Adults.”

Designers, industry professionals and the general public can view or download all the toolbox resources at: https://www.healthdesign.org/topics/impact-aging.
