New Gerflor System Chosen for Award

Atlanta, GA, June 4, 2008--Gerflor said it received a “Citation of Excellence” award in the category of Product Performance from Buildings magazine for its new floor installation system Tarafit.

Chosen from more than 150 applicants exhibiting at the 2008 NeoCon World’s Trade Fair, judges selected 24 “Citation of Excellence” award winners across nine categories based upon written submittals.

“Tarafit is one of Gerflor’s new innovations for 2008 and has already been specified for installations in North America," said  Alan Fennell, president of Gerflor Commercial Flooring.

"Tarafit is more hygienic than conventional flash coved resilient flooring and provides customers a longer lasting, better looking product.”

Tarafit improves the overall cleanliness of the vinyl floor by creating corners that are rounded as opposed to angular, which allows standard cleaning equipment to rid the floor corners of dust or disease causing agents.
