New Flooring Distributor Expanding Rapidly

Tulsa, OK, June 30, 2010--The Bison Group, a new Georgia-based flooring distributor, opened a 15,000-square-foot center in Tulsa, its eighth in the U.S.

The Bison Group comprises several firms the owner bought this year and has a focus on carpet and wood flooring.

The company started in January when the owner bought carpet and wood flooring distributor Thurman Flooring of Calhoun. He then added TNC Trucking and JRC Trucking, with other acquisitions potentially on the horizon, all focused on transporting carpet from East Coast mills to more than 3,000 customers around the country.

The Tulsa center will provide a distribution hub for the 150-mile region around Oklahoma’s second-largest metropolitan area.
